DIABETES RESEARCH WA
Diabetes Research WA exists to find a cure for diabetes in all of its forms. They are immensely passionate about their goal and believe they will reach it by supporting world leading Western Australian research into diabetes. This year they decided to release a Bequest Brochure to coincide with WA Will Week.
What We Did
Like
many not for profit organisations, Diabetes Research WA rely solely on donations to fund their research. The challenge is to stand out from the crowd. I took the words provided and and transformed them from an account into a story. The stories are personal and at times harrowing. My approach was to present the information respectfully, truthfully and sensitively.
What We Achieved
The brochure has been published in hard copy and will support Diabetes Research WA's bequest program in future months and years. The quote from Maya Angelou sums it up succinctly. "If you are going to live, leave a legacy. Make a mark that cannot be erased" I'm proud to support the work of Diabetes Research WA.

Denise’s help, guidance and hard work helped us to take the initial concept documents and refine them into a completed Code of Conduct and policy documents which formed part of a larger submission to of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
Such was the standard of the final submission, it immediately attracted letters of support from some of the World's foremost raptor biologists, ecologists and enthusiasts including Prof Grahame Webb of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Dr Nick Fox OBE, Jemima Parry-Jones MBE and many others.
The submission has allowed us to showcase our work as World leaders in the rehabilitation of raptors using highly specialised techniques.”
